BRUiT (2025–2026) is a sound installation created for Nicolas Fournier’s exhibition REVENIR SUR TERRE at the Manoir de Martigny.

These two spruce structures are the moulds used to build the earth blocks located outside the Manoir. They have retained the imprint of these forms. Their shape evokes oversized beach buckets or, through a shift in form, space capsules or emergency sirens.

Rachel Morend intervened directly on these objects by creating a sound installation. The moulds become horns, broadcasting a composition of captured and assembled sounds: those of the construction site where the MOdULES were built, but also sounds from machinery working the earth, rocket launches and rockslides. These unloved sounds suggest the collapse of what appears solid. The work makes perceptible the connections between form, scale, decomposition and vanity.
