Sound performance – In Pulse – Arsenic, center of Contemporary scenic art, Lausanne.
Mammals is a sound performance that translates an animal space into a double human immersive octophony. The transposition, via sound, of an animal universe in the arsenic studio leads to questioning our own animality, our dynamic of power between dominant and dominated, our ability to erase our egos. Do we become cowboys or cows? Shepherds or sheep?
This change of scale, broadcast in a performative space, invites spectators to integrate into the herd and become other. Mammals offers an opportunity to question our relationship with the living, allowing us to transform ourselves, even temporarily, into another species.
